Health & Pure clean Water – The Two Cannot be Seperated

Do you ever wonder if the water that comes out of your tap could possibly be making you ill? Well, this is not as far fetched as you may think! It’s difficult to tell with water, as most municipal water looks the same, and unless you really delve further into what may be lurking within that clear liquid, how would you really know?

Well, in actual fact, it’s not that difficult. All of the information is out there, and this piece of writing is nothing other than a brief summation of what is freely available in the public sector. Did you know that research scientists no longer classify our drinking water as “pure” water, but rather they will refer to it as having either “Acceptable” or “Unacceptable” levels of contamination.

Do you know why? Well, it’s because virtually all of our tap water is heavily contaminated with cesspool levels of nasty viruses, heavy metals, germs and even embalming fluid! Take a look below, as this is what is found in most municipal drinking water supplies.

• There are literally millions of kilos of chemicals dumped into our drinking water supplies each year, and this is only counting the 650 chemicals registered by the EPA listed as being toxic and deleterious to our health. This is not counting the “safe chemicals” that are also dumped in there for good measure.

• Heavy metals, such as lead, arsenic and even high levels of mercury are found in many samples taken across the USA. Much of the time it doesn’t even matter if you by bottled water, as much of this is actually municipal water rebottled and then sold to us at a huge mark up!

• Infectious diseases – A recent study has been published in the Journal of American Public Health estimates that 40% of all the gastrointestinal diseases in homes are picked up through the water delivered via their kitchen sink faucet!

Well, it may seem more complicated than it actually is. What should I do, you may say?

Well, that’s a good question. There are many different methods of purifying water available in these modern times, but many of them have both pros and cons.

For example, carbon filtration is excellent for most contaminants across the board, and leaves the water tasting fresh and sweet. Unfortunately, this method of filtration fails to remove fluoride and some smaller viral contaminants. But for the most part, these are an excellent choice, as they are cheap, remove many of the organic volatiles, and virtually take out all of the chlorine – so no smell!

Reverse osmosis filtration is another buzz word of late, and is a powerful method of water cleansing in its own right. The pros are that it removes almost all contaminants from your water – including the enormously elusive and ubiquitous fluorine. But alas, it is so effective at removing contaminants that beneficial alkaline minerals are removed. This can eventually lead to a depletion of important mineral salts.

MMS, or Miracle Mineral Solution has been used for at least 5 decades in our municipal water, with the active constituent being chlorine dioxide. If you have a large storage unit of water, periodically treating it with MMS has proved very effective in keeping the water pure and potable.

Distillation is another method that removes virtually all contaminants, but again, the process works in much the same way as reverse osmosis systems do. Don’t get me wrong – they work and work well, but in the long run, can also lead to mineral depletion.

Then there are ionizing machines, and these are excellent in many respects, doing almost everything that leads to good healthy water – apart from removing the dreaded fluoride! These units remove all acidic constituents, whilst delivering alkaline water deep within the body’s tissues. A good choice, but again, what are your preferences?

Clean, healthy, pure drinking water comes down to a compromise taking in a number of considerations – the best option at the end of the day is to install a small tank and collect water directly from your roof, and then running it through a good quality alkalizing machine – or even a decent dual stage carbon filter will suffice.

After all is said and done, it really comes down to one’s own personal preference – but at the end of the day, if you can prevent fluoride from entering your system, you are doing better than most!

To better health!

Welcome back!
