The Science Behind a Popular Healthy Habit
If it seems like people have been on a green tea binge as of late, you’ve got that healthy habit down. There is so much thrilling research available today regarding green tea. The great reports keep coming out. However, don’t stop your research with my article. I’m just your neighborhood reporter who happens to love beauty products. (I know you weren’t aware that was my official title, were you?) But, look below at all the peer-reviewed information that is widely available:
• 2001 International Journal of Cancer
Drinking green tea can help prohibit and prevent chronic gastritis and stomach cancer. This study was conducted using people for analysis. Mice, fish and green tea were not studied together. They really used real people in China.
• 2003 International Journal of Cancer
Green tea can also hinder angiogenesis and some forms of cancer. These cancers can’t develop without angiogenesis happening in your blood cells. Which means that the healthy habit of green tea will actually help stop cancer in its tracks.
• 2006 Journal of American Medical Association
There has also been a decrease in carcinogenic deaths due to green tea. This was a study that showed that people who drank green tea usually tended to have lower death rates from cancer. In conclusion, green tea has appeared to help people avoid or completely recover from cancer much more effectively.
• 2009 American Journal of Epidemiology
Blood and lymph cancers can also be prevented by green tea. A new study out of Japan showed that if you drink about 5 cups of green tea daily it can cut the probability of you developing any of these issues by 50 percent.

As you can tell, green tea is definitely a healthy habit worth keeping. This is one habit that you should definitely start. And trust me, it’s so much better and better for you than starting any type of bad habit. Some people like to brew their own tea while others take it as a supplement. Can’t stand the taste?
